David was born and raised in Southampton, England, but in 2018, he decided to move to the Isle of Wight, where her became actively involved in the island's vibrant creative arts scene.
It was whilst there that he discovered his love for writing poetry, several of which have since been published.
David has won numerous awards for his short stories and has now had his first children's book published.
The Search for Donkey Paradise features a mischievous hedgehog called Steve and several donkeys from the IOW sanctuary.
In 2025 his book came second in the IOW Book Awards.
After nearly eight years of island life, David decided it was time to return to the place of his birth. So in December 2024 he moved back to the mainland and joined a local writing group.
Although busy promoting the sale of his first book, he continues to write new stories and child friendly poetry.
