David was born and raised in Southampton, England, but in 2018, he moved to the Isle of Wight where he became actively involved in the island's thriving creative arts scene.
It was there that he discovered his love for writing poetry, several of which have now been published.
David has won numerous awards for his short stories, and has recently had his first children's book published.
The Search for Donkey Paradise, involves some of the donkeys from the sanctuary based on the IOW. All profits from its sale go to the donkey sanctuary charity.
The book in question recently came second in the 2025 IOW Book Awards, and is currently available to buy on-line.
After nearly eight years of island life, David decided it was time to move back to the city of his birth, and has now joined a number of writing groups on the mainland.
Although busy promoting the sale of his first book, he continues to write new stories and child friendly poetry.
